Loved my weekend trip to Nashville! I had some of the best cronuts and fried chicken ever and enjoyed shopping at the cute boutiques. Of course, I had to try some cowboy boots on and where better to do that than on Broadway where country music is loud and the crowds are rowdy.
I recently got back from a wonderful East Coast trip of the USA with my best friend and we quickly found out that our love for friend chicken is insatiable so we tried to have as much of it as we possibly could.
I woke up in San Francisco with nothing on my mind and no plans for the day, which is pretty unusual for me, so I perused Pinterest and settled on staying outdoors for most of the day, taking it easy and just exploring the city.
One thing I quickly learned during my time in LA is that they have the BEST breakfast but the rest of their meals are kind of blah so you would do well to fill up early in the day and keep the hunger at bay until dinner. The one exception is In-n-Out which actually has some good burgers and excellent service. The line moves very quickly and the fries are also quite good. Although, It is a fast food place at the end of the day.
I was so excited to visit LA for the first time this year. After a little bit of research, I decided to stay at The Line Hotel in Koreatown. If you read last weeks’ post on New Orleans, then you know I love beignets. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, I thought you might want to hear about what you can do in between beignet tastings. I didn’t get to explore the Big Easy as much as I would have liked to but I did have enough time to enjoy some shopping, some nature, some culture and some history.
Every country has a form of fried dough that it’s famous for and while for most of America, doughnuts reign supreme, when you’re in the Big Easy there is only one way to have your fried dough: beignets. During my visit to the Big Easy, I tried Cafe du Monde, New Orleans Coffee & Beignets and Brick & Spoon.
After a full day in the city you probably need a break. You’re sure to be hungry after relaxing at your hotel for a couple of hours so I’ll start off with some places to eat.
Where to eat
A fancy dinner is always welcome at the end of a long day as it is a form of entertainment on it’s own and doesn’t require an after-meal activity.
